A complete solution for a local bar & restaurant who wanted more contact with their online customers.
The Orchard is a very nice and modern establishment with brilliant food and a fantastic atmosphere. This made it really easy to laise with staff to figure out exactly what they needed from their online presence.
Online Reservations
Allowing online reservations was one of the most important requests asked for by this client. They wanted this system to work in tandem with their current manual approach, and be discreet enough as to not attract the attention of their customers.
Now the staff can respond to a reservation request in minutes, replying personally to each of their customers.
Reaching their Target Market
While a popular venue, the Orchard had little in ways to notify their customers of their latest deals, events and other goings on. Being a venue with a variety of locals, out-of-towners and those of different ages... they wanted to deliver different information specific sets of customers.
I could have created a e-mail newsletter application myself for this, but to save my client time and money I set them up with Mailchimp. This system allowed me to tailor groups of participating customers to be targeted after reserving a table, or by applying to receive the newsletter directly.
Looking after their own Content
I don't think my clients should feel restricted with their websites. They should have control over their own content, their own pages, anything they can. I made their website with Wordpress, a widely popular blogging platform, which is simple and extendable enough for most of their needs.
